Man Wanted for Firing Gun in Charles City in 2020 in Custody

A man wanted for threatening people in Charles City in the summer of 2020 by shooting a firearm multiple times is in custody in Charles City.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Romel Price, now of Indiana, was arrested at the Cook County Illinois Jail and extradited back to Iowa early Thursday (03.02) morning.

According to the criminal complaint filed by the Charles City Police Department on June 13, 2020, when Price was then a resident of Charles City, he’s accused of threatening multiple people in the 600 block of North Iowa Street by discharging a firearm multiple times into a parked vehicle that was in close proximity to the people being threatened.

Price was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony, and an arrest warrant was issued the next day.

Two and a half years later, he’s in custody at the Floyd County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
