Colorado Man Dies in Two-Vehicle North Iowa Crash

A Colorado man was killed in a two-vehicle, holiday weekend, crash in north Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred at about 1 am Saturday morning about five miles north of Hampton. A vehicle driven by 34-year-old Adam Booker of Arvada, Colorado, was eastbound on 190th Street when he failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 65 and collided with a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Spencer Brinkman of Latimer, Iowa.

Booker’s vehicle then entered a farm field and caught on fire. Booker died from injuries suffered in the crash.

Brinkman was taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City for treatment of his injuries.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Hampton Fire Department and Franklin General Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
