It’s “take two†this weekend for the 4th of July fireworks in Charles City….weather permitting.
The threat of thunderstorms Tuesday (07.04) night forced the Charles City Chamber of Commerce to make the decision to delay the fireworks display to Saturday (07.08) night at 10 pm in downtown Charles City.
While it did not rain Tuesday night, thunderstorms passed near Charles City at about 10 pm, presenting frequent lightning and thunder.
The possibility of inclement weather also moved the Charles City Municipal Band Concert indoors to Trinity United Methodist Church Tuesday night.
The weather also forced the postponement of the Clear Lake Fourth of July fireworks display from Tuesday night to Wednesday (07.05) night.
