Visitors to Floyd County Courthouse Come Through New Entrance

Citizens taking care of business as the Floyd County Courthouse in Charles City will now access the building through a new entrance.

County officials have posted notices on Facebook that, starting Monday August 14th, the entrance that was normally used to enter on the northside of the  the courthouse will no longer be a public entryway.Only County employees will be able to enter the building through the old entrance.

Visitors to the courthouse must now enter through the new glass atrium entrance, which is the area that connects the new law enforcement center to the courthouse. New signage has been posted directing you inside the atrium as well as to other areas of the courthouse.

In addition, the Floyd County Supervisors on Monday held their first board meeting in their new boardroom, which used to be the garage in the courthouse.
