Chickasaw County’s Twin Ponds Nature Center Celebrates 20 Years

Chickasaw County’s Twin Pond Nature Center, about eight miles southwest of New Hampton, will mark a milestone this weekend.

That’s Chickasaw County Naturalist Matt Crayne, who says festivities this Sunday (09.10) afternoon from 1 to 4 pm include kayaking on the pond, archery, slingshots, plus a special guest speaker.

Crayne says the raptor programs will be presented at 2  and 3 pm Sunday.

Attendees can also make their own barn owl calls, dissect owl pellets, and enjoy free shaved ice and popcorn.

Find more information by visiting the Chickasaw County Conservation and Twin Pond Nature Center Facebook page.
