28th Annual SPOOKWALK Set for October 23 in Charles City

The 28th Annual SPOOKWALK in Charles City is set for Monday, October 23rd.

Celebrate Halloween at this free family-friendly event brought to you by Main Street Charles City. Families with children in grade six and under are welcome to participate by walking through displays from local businesses and organizations along the Riverfront Park trail behind the Charles City Public Library from 5 to 7 p.m

There will also be a special pre-entry period from 4:30  to 5 p.m. for kiddos who have special/sensory needs or may struggle with large crowds. You must call the Main Street Charles City office or email [email protected] to pre-register for this; no early entry will be allowed that night without pre-registration, which becomes available starting on Monday October 2nd.

This year’s theme of “Circus CarnEvil” offers a chance to dress up as a classic clown, turn yourself into a mime, or become the greatest ringmaster/ring mistress, but all costumes are welcome.

In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Monday, October 30th. Watch Facebook at Charles City Chamber & Tourism for updates.

Mayor Dean Andrews has set trick or treating in Charles City for Tuesday, October 31st from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Contact the Main Street Charles City office at (641) 228-4234 or email [email protected] for more information. See you all under the big top!
