Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) has placed President Herbert H.J. Riedel on administrative leave from his position, effective immediately.
During this period, the College remains committed to maintaining its normal operations and upholding its mission of serving our students and community. The NICC Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and administration are dedicated to the continued smooth operation of the College.
In a statement, David Dahms, NICC vice president for finance and administration said, “We understand the importance of stability and leadership during this time and will provide more information in the coming days. We want to assure our students, partners and the community that NICC is dedicated to providing high-quality education, superior workforce training and a supportive learning environment.â€Â
Riedel was hired as NICC President in February 2022 and took over officially on July 1, 2022.
