County Auditor Offices Remind Voters of Important Election Dates

County Auditors’ offices are reminding voters of important dates in advance of November’s general election.

Chickasaw County elections deputy Gina Fangman says voters have less than a week left to submit requests to have an absentee ballot mailed to you.

This Wednesday (10.18) is the first day county auditors can mail out ballots to those who have requested one. It’s also the first day to vote in your county auditor’s office.

Monday, November 6, is the last day to vote absentee in-person in the auditor’s office. Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, is the last day to return absentee ballots, which MUST be in the auditor’s office by 8 pm in order to be counted. Absentee ballots received after 8 pm November 7th will not be accepted.

You are required to go to the polling place for your precinct to vote on Election Day and you must have proof of identity and residence when voting in-person. Polls November 7th will be open from 7 am to 8 pm.

Contact your county auditor’s office with any questions.
