Five Star Coop Gives Year-Round Discount for Veterans, First Responders

Five Star Cooperative, home-based in New Hampton, has announced a year-round residential propane discount program for veterans and first responders. 

Starting November 11th, in conjunction with Veteran’s Day, Five Star will be offering five-cents off per gallon on residential propane as part of their ongoing commitment to support local communities and show appreciation to veterans and first responders. 

Blake Pommrehn, Five Star Energy Sales Manager said in a statement, “We understand the immense value of the service and sacrifice that veterans and first responders offer to our communities. Our commitment to their safety and comfort is unwavering. Our residential propane services prioritize safety, reliability, and peace of mind for our valued customers. It’s our way of extending a heartfelt ‘thank you’ for their dedicated service.”

The ag co-op adds that this discount as a small gesture of gratitude for their service. The program is open to current service personnel, retired veterans, and active first responders, including firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and 911 dispatchers. The discount is also extended to all households where a veteran or first responder resides.
