Community Members Wanted for Charles City Schools Superintendent Search Interviews

The Charles City School District is seeking volunteer community members to help with interviews of the three finalists for its next superintendent.

Wednesday (04.24), the school announced the superintendent’s candidate pool had been trimmed to three, Steven Barber of Grinnell, Gary Benda of Hills and Brian Burnight of Sioux City. Interviews will be conducted on May 6th and numerous stakeholder groups will meet with the candidates and submit their input to the School Board, with plans to make a decision by May 7th.

According to the school website, they are looking for dedicated community members to participate and provide insights and perspectives that are invaluable in this crucial decision-making process. Volunteers will engage with candidates, provide feedback, and play an integral role in shaping the future of our school district.

Those interested in applying should contact Lisa Miller at Charles City Schools by May 1st. Interview times are set for noon to 4:30 pm on May 6th.
