Chickasaw Event Center to End Chassis Service in New Hampton

The Chassis, the transit bus operated in New Hampton by the Chickasaw Event Center, will be taken out of service next month.

The Center’s Chip Schwickerath announced to the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors during their meeting last week (04.222) that the service will be discontinued..

Schwickerath said the cost of of keeping the Chassis running has become too prohibitive.

Schwickerath said they are sending out notifications to its regular riders and parents of students who have been utilizing the bus.

He also asked Supervisors for the County’s continued financial support for the center, with funds from the Chassis going towards other improvements for the facility.
