Floyd County Roads Recovering From Flooding

Most roads in rural Floyd County closed by flooding earlier this week have been reopened.
However, Floyd County Secondary Roads Engineer Jacob Page says two areas still needed extra attention as of Wednesday (56.26) before they can allow travel to pass through.
Page notes that flooding causes crews more work to repair paved roads versus gravel.
Page says repairing a gravel road also costs less.
Chickasaw County Secondary Roads Engineer Roman Lensing told the Board of Supervisors on Monday (06.24) that flooding forced six road closures across the County. But water over the road wasn’t their only issue.
All roads have been re-opened.
