The kitchen facilities at TLC in Charles City now have a “healthy” new name.
Friday (07.26), the kitchen was dedicated as The Garden Kitchen in honor of Chris and Lisa Garden’s commitment to bringing the childcare center to life.
Lisa Garden, a longtime TLC board member, says she’s overwhelmed by the gesture.
In addition to a plaque recognizing the Gardens, Lisa Garden was also presented huge “Thank You” cards by a half-dozen TLC kids.
Garden also praised former TLC Director Pam Ost for her efforts to make TLC what it is today, which included scoring almost $2 million in grants to help renovate the 1970s portion of the former Charles City Middle School and give TLC its new home in January 2023.
