Iowa State Patrol Dubs August “Aggressive Driving Enforcement” Month
The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) is looking to curb traffic crashes during the month of August.
That’s Trooper Tom Williams with the ISP’s Mason City District office, who says a spike in travel comes from many people still traveling on family vacations and more students driving when school gets back in session later this month.
There’s also traffic to Iowa’s biggest summer event, the Iowa State Fair, with Williams alerting motorists traveling from North Iowa south to Des Moines and back to be prepared for road construction.
Once you’re at the Fair, Williams invites you to try the ISP’s “seat belt convincer.”
Williams also notes that their August traffic enforcement campaign will include extra attention to motorists driving on August 9th and 23rd.
