The annual FTD “Crusade for a Cure” Golf Tournament will be held at Sunny Brae Golf Course in Osage this Saturday (08.31).
Organizer Deb Scharper says the event, raising awareness of FTD, is a personal endeavor.
Schaper says FTD is a form of dementia.
Scharper says proceeds will go towards FTD research.
Jay Allen, the Nashville country recording artist, has his own connection to the disease.
The golf tournament begins at 9 am Saturday morning, followed by live music from the Bruce Bearinger Band at 5:30 pm and Jay Allen performing at 7:30 pm.
There will also be raffle prizes, including a Meet & Greet with Allen, plus a chance to win a new car.
