Iowa 18 Bridge Near Ionia Turnoff About Three Weeks from Reopening

A week ago Friday (09.20), the Iowa Highway 14 bridge replacement project, about 10 miles southwest of Charles City, was completed. 

The bridge over Flood Creek, between Floyd County roads B-45 and B-60 near Roseville, is now reopen to traffic, which Pete Hjelmstad, with the Mason City District office of the Iowa DOT, says wrapped up a couple of weeks ahead of schedule.

Meanwhile, Hjelmstad says the Iowa Highway 18 bridge, being built near the Ionia turnoff in Chickasaw County, is about three weeks away from reopening with the west approach to the bridge to be poured on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hjelmstad says bridge projects over the Mississippi River at Lansing, the Highway 3 bridge over the Cedar River in Waverly, and the Highway 122 bridge over Willow Creek in Mason City continue to move forward.
