Floyd County Engineer to Resign in January

Floyd County will begin recruiting efforts for a new leader of its Secondary Roads Department.

County Engineer Jacob Page submitted his resignation last week and spoke to County Supervisors during their regular meeting Monday (12.09) morning. Page said his goal is to leave the department in the best shape possible before he departs next month.

Page became Floyd County Engineer in April 2022, succeeding then-engineer Dusty Rolando, who was in a shared position with Chickasaw County. New Floyd County Supervisor Boyd Campbell asked Page if a shared engineer is worth exploring again.

Page noted that there are currently 10 counties in Iowa with shared engineers, which includes Rich Brumm, who splits duties between Mitchell and Worth counties.
