Changes at Charles City Theatre Aim for Sustainability

The Charles Theatre in Charles City is not standing pat on its historic legacy.

That’s Theatre Board member Tami Vetter, who says another change has come with how you pay for your admission.

That has led to other payment options.

What hasn’t changed are movie ticket prices, with kids 12-and-under and adults 55-and-older paying just $2, with everyone in between paying just $3.

Vetter notes the Theatre Board continues to work on more Free Movie Mondays, as well as hosting more live events, like Iowa Music Hall-of-Famer Kris Karr live in concert this Sunday (12.29).

More information can now be found on their new website, www.charlestheatre.org

Fellow Board member Robin Macomber says the changes have been made to provide new revenue streams to sustain the theatre into the future.
