Pool Repairs in Charles City on Target for Completion By 2025 Season
With the Lions Field Pool in Charles City being an outside facility, there’s no activity in winter, either from a swimming standpoint nor for the over three-quarters-of-a-million-dollars in upgrades and improvements the pool is undergoing.
Prior to the weather-forced break, Charles City Park-Director Tyler Mitchell says Carrico Aquatics made substantial progress on repairing the pool shell itself.
It will also be spring before the company addresses the pool’s recirculation and filtration systems.
Mitchell says they’re on target for all the work to be completed in advance of the pool’s opening for the 2025 swimming season.
In addition to the repairs, expected to add another two decades or more life to the already some-30-year-old pool, upgrades also include the addition of a rock climbing wall.
