A northeast Iowa man is dead after his motorcycle hit a deer over the weekend.
The Iowa State Patrol says the collision occurred shortly before 1:30 am Saturday (03.29) morning on Addison Avenue, south of Riceville. The crash report states 47-year-old Jamie Henry of Riceville was heading north on a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle when it struck a deer in the road north of the intersection with 150th Street.
The State Patrol says Henry was taken to Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Cresco with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The Howard and Mitchell County Sheriff’s Offices and Riceville Ambulance assisted with the accident.
