Construction on Iowa Highway 122 in Mason City Begins Monday (04.14)

A new construction project will disrupt traffic patterns in Mason City starting Monday (04.14).

Pete Hjelmstad, field services coordinator for the Iowa DOT’s Mason City construction office, says the multi-year, multi-stage project will involve Iowa 122 from Pierce Avenue to Monroe Avenue.

The DOT says construction work at the intersections for stage one of the project is anticipated to take two-to-three weeks. In the meantime, access to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City will be maintained.
