Charles City VFW Citywide Clothing Drive Organizational Meeting Thursday (04.17)
The Charles City VFW is putting plans in place for a citywide clothing drive.
The Post’s Patrick Lumley says the timing is right for the effort to benefit veterans and those in need.
Lumley adds that clothing donations must be in decent shape.
In preparation for the clothing drive, Lumley invites businesses, civic groups, and non-profits to an organizational meeting at 6 pm Thursday (04.17) at the VFW, located on North Grand Avenue, across from Washington Elementary.
Lumley says any clothing left over will be distributed to area churches and organizations who can use the extra clothing.
No date has been established for the clothing giveaway itself, but the clothing drive is expected to run throughout the month of May.
