CC/NP Trapshooting Team Targets Big Banquet on May 23

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

The Charles City / Nashua Plainfield / Rudd Rockford Marble Rock Trapshooting Team, led by Coach Mike Olsen, joined the morning show to discuss their growing program, uniting 36 students from Charles City, Nashua Plainfield, and Rudd Rockford Marble Rock schools. They practice three times weekly, recently adding skeet and sporting clays. Highlights include night shoots like the TJ Hodeck Memorial and a black light event with neon clays. Senior Everett shared how trapshooting builds mental discipline and lifelong skills. The team’s May 23 banquet at the Floyd County Fairgrounds’ Youth Enrichment Center features a 5:00 PM social hour, 6:30 PM meal, auctions, raffles, and a gun raffle for three Henry Golden Boy rifles. Funds support the costly sport and facility upgrades, like handicap accessibility.
Contact Coach Olsen at (641) 330-4937 or via their Facebook page to attend or sponsor. Aim for fun at the Trapshooting Banquet—May 23, support our shooters!
