Cedar Falls Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Floyd County

A Northeast Iowa woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash about 15 miles southwest of Charles City.

The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) says the wreck occurred shortly after 8 pm  Friday (05.16) night. A Utilimaster Utilivan driven by 38-year-old Britney Huffman of Cedar Falls was heading west on Floyd County Road B60 when it failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 14, just east of Marble Rock.

The box truck then collided with a Jeep Trailhawk driven by 35-year-old Autumn Taylor of Greene, which was southbound on Highway 14.

Both vehicles went into a ditch and Huffman was ejected from her truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taylor suffered minor injuries.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Marble Rock Fire & Rescue, and AMR Ambulance also responded to the scene.
