Looking ahead after graduation, Senior Addison Tracey says she’s headed to Drake University.
Charles City commencement ceremonies, for about 135 graduates, begin at 1:30 pm Sunday in Comet Gym at the Middle School.
It’s graduation day Saturday (05.17) Carrie Lane High School, which School Board Josh Mack described to fellow Board members during their meeting earlier this week as a very big day for the school’s 17 seniors.
Carrie Lane commencement is 2 pm Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Charles City.
Other area high school graduation festivities this Sunday include Riceville, Turkey Valley, North Butler and Sumner-Fredericksburg at 1 pm; Central Springs, Saint Ansgar, and Howard-Winneshiek at 2 pm; plus New Hampton and Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock at 2:30 pm.
