Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office to Take Nashua Police Records, Guns

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office is ready to take the “leftovers” from the former Nashua Police Department.
That’s Chickasaw County Sheriff Ryan Shawver addressing the Board of Supervisors Monday (08.25) about his conversations in recent months with Nashua Mayor Harold Kelleher and the City of Nashua.
County Attorney David Laudner recommended approval of the agreement worked out with the City’s legal team.
Supervisors approved the addendum on a 4-0 vote, with Supervisor Steven Breitbach absent from Monday’s meeting.
The City of Nashua contracts with the County for the sheriff’s office to provide law enforcement service in Nashua.
