PAWS Pet of the Week – Madonna; Adoption Updates, Volunteer Opportunities, and PAWS UTV Ride

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

fcmc

This week’s PAWS Pet of the Week is Madonna, a beautiful, soft, and fluffy young tabby cat who came to PAWS Humane Society last July with her kittens. With two of her kittens already adopted, Madonna is now ready to find a loving forever home of her own. Jacie Peichel from PAWS joined us to share details on Madonna, the many cats currently in need of homes, and upcoming adoption opportunities. We also talked about how volunteers play a key role at PAWS and how the community can support the shelter through fostering, donations, and event participation. Plus, registration is open for the PAWS UTV Ride on October 4, a fun-filled fundraiser set against the backdrop of Iowa’s beautiful fall colors.

For more information on Madonna, adoption hours, and PAWS events, visit pawscharlescity.com or follow PAWS Humane Society – Charles City on Facebook.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
