Charles City High School Homecoming Committee Previews 2025 Events and Activities

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

Charles City High School seniors and homecoming committee members Morgan McMurchy and Kayla Strike, along with teacher Sarah Downing, joined Community Conversations to preview the excitement of Homecoming 2025. With the theme “Paint It Black,” a full week of dress-up days, a community pep rally, parade, and the crowning of this year’s king and queen, the Comets are gearing up for a celebration packed with school spirit.

The Comet community is proud to celebrate this year’s outstanding group of students who will represent their school spirit and leadership during Homecoming Week:

• Queen Candidates: Mya Eckenrod, Addyson Vance, Evelyn Mayhew, Joslyn Bormann, and Ella Hruska

• King Candidates: Holden McInroy, Jesus Villagomez, Sawyer Hanson, Victor Ward Jr., and Quinn McCarty

The coronation will take place during the Homecoming pep rally, and the community is invited to join in the excitement as we cheer on these students and celebrate Comet pride together. Go Comets!
