RRMR Homecoming Goes On Despite No Varsity Football Game

Homecoming will go in the Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock (RRMR) School District despite the lack of a varsity football game.
Last month, RRMR school officials announced that, due to low participation numbers, the Warriors would not field a varsity 8-player football team this year. It’s the second time in four years RRMR has had to make that decision.
The Warriors have struggled to maintain a varsity football squad since their state championship game appearance in 2018, not fielding a team in 2022 and having to forfeit one game last season due to not enough players.
Still, RRMR school officials say Homecoming will be alive and they will continue celebrating this long-standing tradition with our students, staff, and community.
RRMR Homecoming Week festivities kicked off with “Boom Night” on Sunday (09.21), with more activities planned for the week. On Friday, September 26th at 7:00 PM, the Warriors 5th/6th grade football game will serve as the featured event, with the Warrior Booster Club hosting a football tailgate from 5 to 7:30 pm.
The parade, pep rally, and crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen will take place at their usual times. The Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th.
