Halloween In The Park, Oktoberfest, Big Rig Roundup Saturday (10.04) in Nashua
Nashua Parks will host a variety of activities Saturday (10.04) in Cedar View Park.
“Halloween in the Park” is the basis of the event, which includes a kids costume parade, trick-or-treating, and, new this year, a hay ride and the biggest inflatable Halloween display in northeast Iowa.
Nashua Parks Board member Kristi Hannemann says, also new this year, is the new Big Rig Roundup from 3 to 5 pm.
Hannemann says kids will need a wristband for Touch a Truck, available for a free will donation, with proceeds going towards the addition of a new park in Nashua.
Festivities Saturday open at 2 pm with Oktoberfest, a new event featuring food trucks and a beer tent with 12 beers to choose from.
Hannemann adds that free camping is available Saturday night at Cedar View Campground IF campers stay Friday night AND decorate their campsite for Halloween in the Park. There will be prizes awarded for best decorations.
