Erlinda Tandingan Villena-Dizon, 70, Charles City

With deep love and gratitude, we remember Erlinda Tandingan Villena-Dizon, who peacefully passed away on the morning of September 18, 2025, at the age of 70 in Iowa City, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Erlinda Dizon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Tome Heathershaw officiating. Erlinda will be laid to rest in the Philippines, where she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

Erlinda was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother — a woman whose life was marked by quiet strength, faith, and unyielding love for her family. She was the eldest of six children of the late Alfonso (+) and Felicidad (+) Villena, a role she embraced with care and responsibility.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Leopoldo, her brothers Romeo and Yudel, and her sisters Edna, Avelina, and Amelia. Her greatest pride and joy were her sons, who inspired her to face every challenge with courage: Jonas, Arnel (with wife Grace Ramos and their children – Yhuan and Amiah, and Jeffrey (with wife Geraldine Calpito and their children -Jermaine, Jersey, Jernielle and  Jernee.

Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and in the family she loved so deeply.

He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
