Bond Referendum Meetings Wednesday (10.08) at Sumner-Fredericksburg Schools

The Sumner-Fredericksburg School District is looking for voters to approve a dollar bond referendum of over $16 million to help pay for building upgrades and improvements.

That’s first-year Sumner-Fredericksburg Superintendent Ryan Cunningham, who adds that passage of the bond would also allow the consolidation of school operations to better meet the needs of students.

Cunningham notes that upgrades and changes are not possible with current state funding levels.

To help educate voters on the bond, there will be a series of informational sessions throughout the day on Wednesday (10.08). Public meetings are available at 7 am, 9 am, noon, 4 pm and 6:30 pm, all in the music room of Sumner-Fredericksburg Middle School.

More information is also available at https://www.sfcsd-future.org.

Passage of the bond referendum on November 4th will require a 60% supermajority YES vote.
