If you travel on U.S. Highway 218 from the Cedar River to Iowa Highway 116 near Waverly, you need to be aware of upcoming construction work that may slow down your trip.
The Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office says, beginning Friday (10.31), weather permitting, crews will perform grading and concrete pavement replacement work in the median. Inside lane closures will be used in the work zone during this project, which is targeted for completion by mid-December.
