$30 Million Bond Would Get Charles City High School ADA Compliant, Usable for All Students

A $30 million bond referendum to pay for renovations and improvements to Charles City High School will know its fate next Tuesday (11.04).
Among the issues to be addressed with passage of the bond is getting the building, built over 65 years ago, ADA compliant. Something Lauren Lundberg wants for students like her daughter who is in a wheelchair.
Mallory DeVries also has a daughter with special accessibility needs, but they’re not the only ones.
Both girls are still a few years from attending high school, but Lundberg hopes they can have an experience like all other students.
The bond measure which will require a 60% supermajority YES vote to pass.
