Charles City Schools Stakeholder Survey Seeks Input on Perceptions, Communication, Failed Bond

Charles City School officials are conducting a Communications Audit which seeks public feedback on how the district is perceived as well as the recently failed $30 million bond referendum.
The Stakeholder Survey is designed to gather parent and community input regarding the perceived quality of the Charles City Community School District. School leaders also want feedback on how well the district is communicating with parents, students and the public.
They’d also like to learn more about why the recent bond vote did not pass. The measure would’ve paid for sweeping improvements and upgrades to Charles City High School, built over 65 years ago.
The Stakeholder Survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is open until December 8th.
A link to the survey is included with this story on our station website.
Those with questions may reach out directly to school Superintendent Dr. Brian Burnight.
