Charles City Public Library Touts 2025 Accomplishments, Hosts Noon Year’s Eve

The Charles City Public Library is saying goodbye to 2025 in a couple of ways.

In a social media post, the Library has recapped various measures of Community Engagement over the past 12 months, including almost 43,000 patrons served, with 360 of them new patrons. Other numbers note close to 53,000 items being physically checked out from the library, over 15,000 electronic items being checked out, and almost 3,000 new physical items added to its offerings. 

The Charles City Public Library also reports there were over 9,200 attendees at library programs in 2025. 

Kamryn Kronschnabel, patron services librarian, says there’s one more program kids can attend in 2025, especially if parents don’t think the little ones can stay awake late Wednesday (12.31) night.
