Floyd County ISU Extension Shares Grain Marketing Workshop, Master Gardener Program, and Upcoming Trainings

Eric Weuve, farm business management field specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Anne Reither of Floyd County ISU Extension joined KCHA to discuss several timely programs available to local residents. Weuve breaks down current grain marketing challenges and previews an upcoming workshop focused on understanding cash grain contracts and managing risk in today’s tight farm economy. Reither highlights additional Extension opportunities, including the Master Gardener training application process, private pesticide applicator certification options, and a winter home gardening webinar series aimed at helping Iowans plan ahead for the growing season.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
