Jerry Lee Funk joined KCHA alongside bandmates Dan “Greasy Keys” Fairholm and Ashley Sheppard to talk about the Love Radishes’ return to the annual Eagles Cancer Telethon. Funk shares why the cause remains deeply personal, how the band got its start, and what viewers can expect from their late-night performance this weekend. The group also previews their evolving sound, expanded setlist, and what it means to once again take part in one of the longest-running televised cancer fundraising events in the country.

The Eagles Cancer Telethon runs Saturday night through Sunday afternoon and will be broadcast on KTTC. For more information regarding the Eagles Cancer Telethon and to see who will perform, go to EaglesCancerTelethon.org. You can also find the Love Radishes on Facebook.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
