Jack Teepe, 92, of Charles City

Jack D. Teepe, 92, of Charles City, Iowa, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home.
A memorial service for Jack Teepe will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Rob Williams from The Bridge Church officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Jack was born March 2, 1934, in Fredericksburg, Iowa, the son of John H. and Mary E. (Schoonmaker) Teepe. His family moved to Floyd, Iowa where he attended school. Jack was drafted into the Army and served at a marine base in the motorpool.
Jack married Dixie L. (Van De Maat) Teepe on October 28, 1956, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made Charles City their home for most of their 70 years of marriage raising 6 children.
Jack made a career driving trucks over-the-road for over 30 years and more than 3 million miles, the majority at Hydrotile in Nashua. Jack retired in 1991 and began doing the things he enjoyed most, spending time with the love of his life, Dixie, and his family. His hobbies included fishing, camping, woodworking, baking, and working on vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie; children, John Teepe of Charles City, Brenda Ringwald of Charles City, Kathey (Philip) Hull of Moberly, Missouri, Gwen (Larry) Kennedy of Charles City, Jim (Jean) Teepe of Waukee, and Denise Willis of Charles City; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Reints of Truman, Minnesota.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marilyn (Marvin) Horn, Arlene (Floyd) Billings, Betty Jean (George) Seward; and brother, Allen (Marvlyn) Teepe.
Jack will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
