The Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the National Weather Service have joined together to promote Severe Weather Awareness Week.
Floyd County Emergency Management Agency Director Jason Webster says the week wraps up with Friday’s (03.27) focus on Flood Safety.
The overall theme for Severe Weather Awareness Week is ‘Are You Ready?’
Webster encourages that readiness to include signing up with Alert Iowa, which can be customized for notifications in and around your specific location.
