It was prom last weekend for Charles City High School.
This year’s queen candidates were Ava Molitor, Mikyla Sellers, Brynn Roethler, Julie Foster, and Tegan Cavanaugh. King hopefuls were John Bruening, Jeremiah Montoya, Luke Jacobs, Myles Tjaden, and Jackson Kowalski.
During coronation ceremonies in Comet Gym at the Middle School Saturday (04.18), Erik Hoefer first announced the Prom King.
The Prom Queen was then introduced.
Prior to announcing the prom queen and king, Hoefer gave backgrounds on the candidates, with Jacobs having medical aspirations.
Sellers’ plans include being sort of “home body.”
This year’s prom theme was ‘CCHS Prom Masquerade: A Night of Secrets,’ with the dance at the Elks Lodge in Charles City.
