Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office to Hire Full-Time Deputy, Shift Jail Administrator Duties

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is looking to add another deputy to put in the field on full assignment.
During their regular meeting Monday (04.27), the Board of Supervisors acknowledged the resignation of Deputy/Jail Administrator Jordan Gansen, effective June 1st. Sheriff Ryan Shawver said Gansen had a dual role in the department.
Rather than fill Gansen’s position as it’s currently configured, Shawver sought Board approval to hire another deputy for patrol purposes and move jail administrator duties largely to Chief Deputy Zach Nosbisch.
Nosbisch is willing to “take one for the team,” if it means better law enforcement service to the county.
After going into closed session to discuss Shawver’s plan in more detail, Supervisors came back into open meeting and unanimously approved giving Shawver the go-ahead to begin advertising for the deputy position.
