New Development Services Coordinator Miller on Duty in Charles City

Monday (05.04) marked the first day on the job for the City of Charles City’s new Development Services Director.
Mayor Dean Andrews says Chris Miller helps replace John Fallis, who retired last month as City Engineer. While the City has also contracted with Crawford Engineering of Independence for as-needed engineering services, Miller will handle smaller day-to-day duties.
Andrews says Miller’s newly created position will consolidate a number of other responsibilities to better serve residents.
Miller worked for the City of Mason City prior to his hire in Charles City.
Miller started his new job on Monday and was in attendance for his first City Council meeting Monday night.
