Floyd County Museum to Hire New Director

The Floyd County Museum in Charles City is in the market to hire a new museum director.

Current Director McKenna Lloyd has announced that she will be departing to take a new job opportunity in Mankato, Minnesota. Her last day with the museum will be either May 22nd or May 23rd. Lloyd has been the director since August 2022, when she relocated from San Diego.

Lloyd says, “I’ve loved working at the Floyd County Museum and getting to know the awesome people who visit and support us from near and far! Thank you for your support and interest over the years. I’m so proud of the changes and accomplishments made here since I started. We couldn’t have done it without the community and volunteer support!”

The museum will begin recruitment efforts to hire Lloyd’s replacement.
