City Hall Remodel/Renovation in Charles City Could Still Be a Month from Completion

“Substantial” completion of the remodel and renovation of City Hall in Charles City, which would allow City staff and police department to move back into the building, is still about a month away.

That’s Mayor Dean Andrews, who says those doors have proved problematic.

Still, Andrews says the project is moving forward.

The some $5 million remodel and renovation began in January 2025 and was expected to be completed by June of this year. When finished and staff have moved back in, City officials plan to host an open house for the public to view the City Hall makeover.
