The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is seeking input from County residents in the effort to update the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
EMA Director Jason Webster says FEMA requires that the plan must be updated every five years.
Webster says the Hazard Mitigation Plan is vital for the County to receive federal aid in the event of a natural disaster.
Webster says public participation in a survey to assess preparation for disasters is an important part of the process.
Webster thanks those who take the survey in helping identify hazards, reduce future risks, and make Floyd County a safer, more resilient place to live, work, and visit.

The survey is set to close at 4:30 pm on August 14th.
