Celebration of Life Monday (08.17) for Former RRMR Teacher, Coach Killed in Car v. UTV Crash

The man who died last weekend in a car versus UTV crash in eastern Iowa was a former Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock teacher and coach.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred shortly before 9:30 PM Saturday (08.08) night, with a 10-year-old child pronounced dead at the scene. 33-year-old Joshua Tack of Union was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Five other people were injured in Saturday’s crash.

Tack was a Principal for the BCLUW Community School District. He had served in the position since 2023. Prior to that, Tack was a teacher, coach and mentor in the RRMR School District.

Tack was also a former teacher and coach for Waterloo Schools.

Visitation for Tack’s family will be from 2 to 6 PM Sunday (08.16) at Union Community Church in Union. A Celebration of Life service in his Tack’s honor is set for 1:30 PM Monday (08.17) at BCLUW High School in Conrad.
