Fredericksburg Firefighters 10th Annual Block Party Saturday (08.15)

The Fredericksburg Firefighters Association hosts their 10th annual “Block Party” this Saturday (08.15) in Fredericksburg. 

Fire Chief Ray Armbrecht says festivities include a cornhole tournament at $20 per team, kids waterball and bounce houses, live raffle and social hour from 5 to 7 pm, and a street dance with music by Decoy from 7 to 10 pm Saturday night.

There’s also a free kids raffle for prizes.

For “big kids,” it’s the Scavenger Hunt UTV Ride with a $500 grand prize. 

All proceeds from the event go back into the fire department.

At that price tag, Armbrecht it will take a couple more years to raise the funds to make the purchase.

In the event of rain, Block Party festivities will be moved inside the fire station.

Admission is $5. 12-and-under get in for free.
