Open Houses This Week for Public Input on Wildwood Clubhouse in Charles City

The clubhouse at Wildwood Golf Course in Charles City is showing its age.
That’s Tyler Mitchell, director for the Park-Rec department, which, along the Park-Rec Board, will host two open house events this week for the public to get a look at the clubhouse and help the City make a decision on its future.
Mitchell says current options to upgrade and/or renovate the clubhouse range from $1.2 up to $3.9 million.
Mitchell says open house attendees will be able to see the financial ramifications of the possible renovation scenarios.
Mitchell says they’re also conducting a survey on which option the public would prefer, which they prefer would be filled out by local residents.
Wildwood Clubhouse open house hours are 4 to 7 PM Wednesday (Oct. 14) and 8 to 11 AM Saturday (Oct. 17).
If you can’t attend the open houses, Mitchell says he can send you a survey if you reach out to the Park-Rec office.
