Charles City Public Library Wraps Up Summer with Family Fun, Book Clubs & More

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

The Charles City Public Library is wrapping up another busy summer, but there are still plenty of opportunities for all ages to get involved. Library Director Annette Dean joined KCHA’s Community Conversations to highlight the final weeks of the Summer Reading Program along with upcoming activities for kids, teens, families, and adults. Families can look forward to squirt bottle painting, a giant marble run, Play-Doh volcanoes, mermaid story time at Lions Pool, the Summer Reading finale pool party, a paper roller coaster challenge, and a Stranger Things-themed escape room. Adults can also participate in several book clubs, chair yoga, Scrabble and board game groups, Mahjong, and still have time to complete the Summer Book Bingo challenge before the July 31 deadline.
